September 6, 2017, was the day of the most destructive national disaster and the worst nightmare Sint Maarten had ever seen. On that day Hurricane Irma slammed her tail and left the island in total chaos and shambles.
This book ‘Storm’ is about the dramatic experiences of two young boys,
David and Tony, during and after the arrival of the monster hurricane called Irma.
Storm is dedicated to all those who risk their lives to help others in need, with special appreciation for the work of all emergency services: SKS: the Royal Dutch Marechaussee: Police, Justice and Fire departments; Sint Maarten Medical Center; Red Cross; White -Yellow Cross and many others.
This book will be distributed among e.g. elimentary schools throughout
St. Maarten and stimulates children to develop their awareness about friendship and climate change.
